To be honest I imagine that self-learning relativity to be quite difficult. A List of Technical Books on General Relativity They can often be quite useful for understanding particular details of general relativity, its applications, or the associated mathematics.
I particularly recommend these first few books, all of which I have used as texts before. The book is meant to be read, searched and referred to, rather than looked at.
The original "helpfile" version egypharmed2018.com used to be available from the old "Erk's Relativity Pages" website, and had multiple tiled panes that allowed diferent views of the document.
